Woman Kicked in the Chest by Kevin Gates Recounts Attack
Miranda Dixon, the 18-year-old woman kicked in the chest by Kevin Gates during a concert last Friday, is speaking out for the first time since the brutal act.
Dixon was a fan of Gates and paid $35 to go see him perform at Club Rumor in Lakeland, Fla. She was in the front row when she reached for his legs and he kicked her in return.

The ordeal “scared” Dixon, and she has yet to physically heal. “It still hurts so much, that is why I try not to talk too much or even walk around,” she said of her injuries.
Her mother, Kristy Ireland-Ricks, wants Gates “prosecuted” and jailed. “He not only harmed my daughter for no reason, he embarrassed her in front of the whole world.”
Dixon on the other hand forgives Gates for his behavior. “I forgive everyone. I just wish he would've never done it, and I’m not a fan of his [any]more.”
According to TMZ, the Lakeland Police Department filed a simple battery charge against Gates, which is being reviewed by the State Attorney’s Office.
Gates has been caught on camera attacking female fans before. He tweeted the below statement, seemingly in response to threats received for kicking Dixon.
