In her recent sit-down interview with Bethenny Frankel, Faith Evans let the public know that she's in no hurry to get back to the altar again. The 40-year-old singer's 14-year marriage to Todd Russaw ended two years ago and while she wouldn't flat out say if she's in a relationship, she opened up about how careful she is before bringing someone new into her life.

"[My friends] always tease me about me not probably being open to dating, but because that word means to me like you've got a gang of people coming in and out of your life or you're seeing multiple people and that's just not me," Evans said. "I'm very careful about who I bring into my private space, especially in a romantic sense. Because I have children I have to really think about it."

Evans also chatted about her relationship and marriage to the Notorious B.I.G. back in 1994.

"When me and Big met, although people say we were married in nine days, we were married less than two months after we met each other. But very early on, within the first couple weeks, we definitely felt like we were in love with one another."

As for whether she'll walk down the aisle again, she won't say never, but she did say that marriage isn't mandatory in order to share a special bond with a partner.

"I don't know. There was a time when that was part of my big picture, being married and growing old with someone. I wouldn't say no but I'm certainly not looking for it. If it comes and God says, 'Hey,' I think I'll feel that. But I don't think marriage necessarily means it's a meaningful relationship."
