In an attempt to surprise his mom on her birthday, Justin Bieber brought her onstage at the end of his concert in Berlin Saturday night. But as the audience sang "Happy Birthday" to 35-year-old Pattie Mallette, a few strands of her hair caught fire. Luckily, Bieber immediately swooped in to pat down the tiny flames and save the day.

"Sick show in Berlin...brought @studiomama on stage 2 sing her happy bday but she lit her hair on fire with the candles. lol. i saved her," he later tweeted.

His mom also commented on the incident via Twitter saying, "Thank you for all your b-day wishes!! All I want is prayers. Thank u @justinbieber for the cake (& embarrassing me on stage lol.) Xo."
