Megan Thee Stallion Hints at WWE Debut After Scoring New ‘Smackdown’ Theme Song
Megan Thee Stallion seems ready to step into the WWE ring beyond providing her voice.
On Friday (Sept. 13), “SmackDown” returned to USA Network, debuting a fresh logo and intro featuring the Houston rapper’s new track "Neva Play," which features RM from BTS. After WWE shared the opening clip on social media, Megan playfully responded with fire emojis, hinting at making her debut in the ring, writing, “I think it’s finally time I make my debut lol.”
Megan’s connection with the WWE dates back further than you might think. In 2021, she posed for a photo with Bianca Belair, the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, at Lollapalooza. More recently, in May 2023, former Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez issued a challenge to Megan and Cardi B for a tag team match.
“I think Meg would be incredible,” Morgan said at the time. “They’ve also been so active with us on Twitter and just responded to different things. Those two would be interesting to see in the ring. Us versus Cardi and Meg. Make it happen. I’m not gonna go easy on them, though. They look like they could take the titles: an Extreme Rules Match, Last Woman Standing Match. Let’s do all of it.”
