A fight at 2 a.m. outside of an L.A. nightclub is likely the regular for the LAPD — except when a pop star like Jason Derulo is involved.
On Sunday (Nov. 20), the “Get Ugly” singer-songwriter found himself in the middle of a brawl outside of West Hollywood’s Bootsy Bellows. And in 2016, it’s without a doubt that a recording bystander captured it all.

From the video, it seems as if the fight had already broken out before Derulo makes his way in. As the 27-year-old is making his way to his Bentley, he suddenly breaks into the crowd and begins hurling wild punches. While there is no clear indication as to what prompted him to jump in on the brawl, the L.A. County deputies who arrived shut it down with the quickness.

After the officers, seen with stun bag rifles often used to disband physical altercations, approach the crowd, the clubgoers promptly disperse. That included Derulo, who is escorted back to his car by a member of his crew.
