T.I. Is 'On His Way Home' Says Young Dro
Any rapper will tell you that he or she isn't much without their crew and that saying rings true for T.I.'s Grand Hustle family. Young Dro recently admitted that his label head will have to change his ways once he leaves prison later this year.
“Tip was on the phone the other day, and he on his way home, [he's] ordering shoes and sh--," Dro said during an interview with AllHipHop. "I might email him a catalog from time to time and he sends it right back with the stuff he wants. He’s ordering $5,000 shoes, he’s doing the Internet thing. We shoot him an email and he can see the catalog and we be ordering all day … getting handkerchiefs and sh--."
Young Dro, who reached no. 1 on Billboard's R&B/ Hip-Hop Songs chart with "Shoulder Lean," added that he and Tip would have to amend their ways.
“When he gets home, things are going to be very different," Dro shared. "We have jeopardized our livelihood, which is like the devil. Everyone makes mistakes and we still have a shot, it's not over."
"We entitled to two or three falls, as long as you make good on it," He continued. "How dare we mess it all the way up? Long as we make good, we will be OK. Get back up again, fall and get back up because he ain’t no evil person. We will prosper and come back even better."
In 2010, T.I. was sentenced to 11-months in an Arkansas prison after breaking his federal probation when he was arrested on Sept. 1 in Los Angeles on drug charges. The MC began his sentence in November 2010.
