Stephen Curry, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul Featured in Anti-Gun PSA
Gun violence continues to run rampant in America, taking the lives of 88 people on a daily basis.
Doing his part to help spread the word to stop it, Spike Lee has tabbed NBA stars such as Stephen Curry, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Joakim Noah for a special anti-gun violence PSA. The 33-second, Lee-directed clip will air during ABC and ESPN’s coverage of Christmas Day games on Friday, as part of the NBA's End Gun Violence initiative.
The touching spot has the aforementioned NBA stars and parents who have lost children to gun violence all imploring people to stop turning to guns as a solution to problems.
"I heard about a shooting involving a 3-year-old girl over the summer," Curry said. "My daughter Riley is that age."
CP3 says that his parents always told him that bullets don't have names on them, with Melo adding, "The gun should never be an option," and Noah, chiming in with "We can all make a difference."
The poignant PSA could be seen below.
