Here For It: A ‘Black-Ish’ Star Has A Serious Question About The ‘Roseanne’ Racism Scandal
The now widespread scandal surrounding the cancellation of Roseanne Barr's eponymous sitcom has sparked outrage across the board, on social media.
In fact, on the heels of ABC rightfully canceling the show, a cast member of another show on the network's roster, Black-ish, posed a question that many are really hoping could be answered.
The actor who wants answers is actor and the show's regular provider of comic relief, Deon Cole.
Cole took to Twitter to ask, "Now can we air our episode that was taken off?"
His comment was made in response to recently confirmed reports that a politically and socially themed episode of Black-ish was shelved due to creative differences expressed between the showrunner, Kenya Barris, and the network.
According to Variety, the episode tackled several political issues that are currently plaguing minorities in America with one specifically addressing athletes' right to kneel during the performance of the national anthem.
ABC has since initially responded to the report, simply stating, "There were creative differences we were unable to resolve.”
They are yet to revise their response since the recent news surrounding Roseanne's racism scandal.
