Drake's hotly anticipated sophomore album, Take Care, may have hit a road block on its way to its former October release date, but the album is now officially done and ready to print. The Young Money star confirmed last night on Twitter that he had completed work on Take Care and was preparing to submit it to his record label.
"Handing in the album tonight. Surrender," he tweeted.
Take Care was supposed to be ready for an October 24 release, which also happens to be Drake's birthday, but clearance issues affecting three samples caused the project to be delayed. It's now slated to hit stores November 15.
Drake has said there will be 17 tracks on the album, with two digital bonus cuts. Three official singles have been released to iTunes, including "Marvin's Room," "Headlines" and "Make Me Proud featuring Nicki Minaj." The Toronto native performed the latter two cuts on Saturday Night Live last weekend, and a video for "Headlines" debuted last month.
