The highly anticipated second trailer for the upcoming movie-musical adaptation of “The Color Purple” has arrived, offering fans an exciting glimpse into the star-studded cast.
Featuring Fantasia as Celie, Taraji P. Henson as Shug Avery, Danielle Brooks as Sophia, Halle Bailey as young Nettie, H.E.R. as Squeak, and Colman Domingo as Mister, Warner Bros. Pictures brings to life Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel and Steven Spielberg’s 1985 Oscar-nominated film in a captivating new musical experience.
The movie was produced by Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, Quincy Jones, and Scott Sanders and directed by Ghanaian filmmaker Blitz Bazawule, who also shot “Black Is King.”
