BET is teaming up with Sprite to resurrect its legendary "Freestyle Friday" series on July 24, July 31 and Aug. 14 at The Sprite Corner in New York City. 

The rap battle series made popular on 106 & Park has been updated to include social media and some of today's most promising young rhymers.

Up-and-comers Dave East, Issa, Nitty Scott and the event's dj, DJ Lyve, will be joined by freestyle battle legends Jin, Loaded Lux, Posta Boy and Bones Brigante for the event. Host Angela Yee will preside over the festivities in front of a live audience inside the pop-up shop styled as a bodega.

Located at 188 Bowery (on the corner of Spring Street) in downtown NYC, The Sprite Corner will give visitors access to exclusive film screenings, comedy shows, Photoshop classes and a cooking lesson from celebrity chef and best-selling author Eddie Huang.

Live streaming of each "Freestyle Friday" at The Sprite Corner will be available on BET.com and in the BET app.
