They’ve supported nearly a dozen charities and foundations
Union and Wade have supported nearly a dozen charities and foundations, including Partnership for a Healthier, America Gibson Girl Foundation, Rape Foundation, Stand Up To Cancer, and many more. The couple also supports Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
The Wade Foundation
In 2003, Wade founded The Wade's World Foundation, which supports community-based organizations that promote education, health, and social skills for children in at-risk situations.

In 2016 Wade launched his Spotlight On initiative following the tragic loss of his cousin to gun violence in Chicago. According to the official page of the “Wade Family Foundation” the initiative “aims to give youth hope for a better future by spotlighting youth in the community who are actively changing the city for the better and empowering others to make change happen.”
The former athlete has also supported the Parkland students through March for Our Lives and launched a Parkland 17 art exhibit at Florida Art Walk.

Planned Parenthood
In 2012, Union became a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood's breast health initiative and ultimately established the Women Are Watching campaign with other actresses. Along with actresses like Scarlett Johansson, Natasha Lyonne, Selenis Leyva, and many more, the star helped bring awareness to critical issues surrounding women’s reproductive rights.
Saving libraries
In September 2009, Wade reportedly donated $25,000 from his foundation to keep the Robbins, Illinois, public library from having to shut down.
