This year, we have seen couples find love, and we have also seen partners lose their flame for each other. From pairs who have been married for decades to those who were in early bloom, there has been no shortage of break-ups in 2023.

Here is a list of some of the most buzzed-about splits so far.

  • Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman

    Back in March, Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman each filed for divorce from the other on February 27. They were married for nearly nine years and share two kids: a son, Machai, 7, and a daughter Aniya, 5. Sidora is also a mom to a son, Josiah, 11, from a prior relationship.

    After four years of marriage, Eva Marcille filed for divorce from Michael Sterling. According to the court filing, she cited their marriage was "irretrievably broken" and that "there are no prospects for a reconciliation."

    The two have also reportedly worked on a private custody agreement for their children, Michael, 5, and Maverick, 3. It is unknown if that includes Marcille's daughter, Marley Rae, 9, whom she shares with ex-Kevin McCall. However, Marley was given Sterling's last name when she was 15 months old.

    Monique Samuels and Chris Samuels separated following a decade-long union. Monique filed for divorce in June after initially filing in April but had it rescinded less than 90 days later. They share three children: Chase, 4, Milani, 7, and Christopher, 10.

    These two called it quits in July following 30 years of matrimony, but decided not to divorce officially. Former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and Chirlane McCray have agreed to continue living in their family home together, where they raised their two children, Chiara, 28, and Dante, 25. According to The New York Times, de Blasio said his busy schedule caused their relationship to crumble.

    After six years of marriage, Billy Porter . They first met at a dinner party in 2009, then tied the knot in 2016. A rep for the Emmy winner told PEOPLE, "They continue to love and support each other as they embark on this next chapter."

    The road to forever ended after these two broke up in July. They started dating in 2017 after meeting on set of Vampire Diaries, then PEOPLE confirmed they were engaged in May 2022.

    Back in July, NeNe Leakes . During a podcast interview on Reality with the King, she told the host,  "It's … things I'm not happy with, things he's not happy with. It's just not working at the moment." They were first spotted out together in December 2021.

    Following 13 years of marriage, this couple called it quits. Khadijah Haqq broke the news of their separation on Instagram. They share three children, and Bobby McCray has a child from a previous relationship, according to E! Online

  • Jeezy and Jeannie Mai

    Jeannie Mai Jenkins and Jeezy attend Gold House's Inaugural Gold Gala: A New Gold Age at Vibiana.

    Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie Mai after two years of marriage in September. It is reported that he was already separated from her at the filing, and a prenuptial agreement is already in place for them. The rapper and former talk show host are parents to a one-year-old daughter, Monaco Mai-Jenkins, for which he is seeking joint legal custody, according to AJC.

  • Mia Thornton and Gordon Thornton

    This former duo were married for 11 years before they decided to split up. Mia told PEOPLE, "Like all marriages, ours has had its ups and downs." She added, "At this time, Gordon and I are separated, but my family is my number one priority, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure we are okay." Mia Thornton and Gordon Thornton share two kids, Jeremiah Carter, 8, and Juliana, 6. Additionally, they each have one child from their previous relationships.

    These college sweethearts went their separate ways after dating for 10 years and then two years of marriage. Damian Lillard and Kay’La Hanson share three children: 2-year-old twins Kalii and Kali and a 5-year-old son named Damian Jr. According to the divorce filing, Hanson moved out of the family home in December 2022, while Lillard remained a resident.

    Jodie Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Joshua Jackson following three years of marriage. They are parents to a 3-year-old daughter that she is seeking shared custody with, as reported by PEOPLE. According to court documents, she cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the dissolution of the marriage.

    In October, Lupita Nyong'o seemingly announced that she and her boyfriend, Selema Masekela, had gone their separate ways. She opened up on their split in a post on Instagram. "I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception," her message said in part.

  • Aaron Bryant and Eliza Isichei

    Days after the "Bachelor in Paradise" season 9 finale in December, Aaron Bryant and Eliza Isichei –who left the show engaged– decided to go their separate ways.

    Following their engagement, the show updated fans on their relationship status.

    “Aaron and Eliza’s engagement has hit some speed bumps since they left the beach,” the message on the screen read. “They are actively working on their relationship and trying to figure things out.”

    Kylee Russell and Aven Jones left season 9 of "Bachelor in Paradise" without an engagement. Two days after the show wrapped, Russell announced she had broken up with Jones due to "multiple infidelities.”

    While speaking to Us Weekly, Evelyn Lozada confirmed her split from fiancé Lavon Lewis. They met on the "Queens Court" dating show and got engaged on her birthday in December 2022. According to Lozada, pulling the plug on their relationship was "the right thing to do."

  • Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds

    On Sunday (Dec. 3), Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds announced in a joint statement on Instagram that they had decided to go their separate ways. The couple met in 2012 at a movie premiere for a film that Edmonds had produced; then, they got engaged in 2019.

    A week after their split, Edmonds said in a since-deleted IG post that it was her "decision to end the relationship, despite any different narratives being presented."

    Cardi B revealed in an Instagram Livestream that she and her husband, Offset, are no longer an item.

    "I've been single for a minute now, but I don't know how to tell the world," she said during the session. "I want to start 2024 fresh and open. I'm curious for a new life, for a new beginning," she continued.
