It was recently reported that Janet Jackson is slated to have a child at age 50, however it may not be her first.

Ex-husband James DeBarge is claiming that he and the pop singer had a daughter when they were married, but she kept the pregnancy a secret from the world. A Radar Online story relays that the young woman in question recently confronted DeBarge with the fact that he may be her father.

“Someone had contacted me. She spoke to me by email,” he explained. “The first time was two years ago. I have not been able to directly see her face-to-face.”

The woman asked to have a paternity test, which has also not happened yet. DeBarge is also claiming that the woman implied that Jackson was her mother.

“She did but without saying [it],” he said. “She was angry because another child was trying to come forward and say that she was our child. So she did out of anger.”

“She described as much as she could tell me because she was very fearful at the time,” he continued. “She was very angry about people running with this story about this [other child] being my baby. She got very angry. She’s like, ‘Papa I want to help you out.’ She had so much of personality and she was so accurate with everything she was saying, it was only things that I and Janet know. No one else but god, me and Janet.”

Apparently, according to the woman, Jackson had put her up for adoption and didn’t tell her former husband due to “fear.” The suspicion that she had had a baby years ago didn’t escape DeBarge as he even tried to find her after birth.

Janet Jackson and third husband Wissam Al Mana are expecting their first child soon. Jackson postponed her forthcoming tour because of the pregnancy, but plans on reembarking on it when everything is settled.
