Vice President Kamala Harris Concedes the 2024 Election
Vice President Kamala Harris has officially conceded the 2024 presidential election to President-elect Donald Trump. According to CNN, she is scheduled to deliver her concession speech at Howard University in Washington, D.C., at 4 p.m. ET today.
A senior aide said she “called President-elect Trump to congratulate him on winning the 2024 presidential election. She discussed the importance of a peaceful transfer of power and being a president for all Americans.”
Even after being convicted of several felonies, Trump secured the presidency by surpassing 270 electoral votes with a pivotal win in Wisconsin. This victory marks a historic comeback, making him the first former president in over a century to serve non-consecutive terms.
In his victory speech, Trump vowed to "heal" America and usher in a "Golden Age," expressing gratitude to his supporters and reflecting on the challenges faced during his campaign.
