Jay-Z's NYC 40/40 Club Closed Until Fall
Jay-Z has had much success with his chain of upscale sports bars/nightclubs, The 40/40 Club; he and parter Juan Perez have opened six locations around the United States (NYC, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta) and two international branches (Toyko and Macau).
The NYC outpost, which debuted nine years ago, closed its doors today for complete renovation. The redesign will be led by designer Jeffery Beers and will conclude in September. Hov and Perez posted a letter on the club website thanking customers for their support: “Without your commitment to the brand, The 40/40 Club would not have achieved the worldwide recognition it has today. We have shared amazing moments together and only look to expand on those memories in the years to come….We appreciate your patience and continued dedication to our growing brand as we vow to return to the scene stronger than ever.”
