Magic Johnson And Wife Cookie Johnson Celebrate Her 65th Birthday In The Caribbean
Cookie Johnson recently marked a special day and her hubby was by her side for the celebration.
To ring in her 65th trip around the sun that falls on Jan. 20, Cookie and her husband Magic Johnson toasted to her milestone birthday while in the Caribbean, as reported by PEOPLE. They each took to social media over the weekend to share memories from their excursion abroad.
"Thank you all so much for the wonderful birthday wishes today," Cookie said in the caption of a carousel of images on Instagram. "I ended my birthday with another lovely dinner with Earvin and some of my closest friends, dancing the night away in Turks and Caicos! I am so grateful for all of you and another blessed year of life!"
The post included frames of her and the NBA Hall of Famer posing together next to her fancy birthday cake, and the moment she offered words of gratitude.
During the celebration, Cookie was serenaded by a singer belted out "Happy Birthday." Not only that, she and her hubby enjoyed an energetic fireworks display show against the midnight sky.
The doting twosome also showed off their footwork as they two-stepped to Bobby Caldwell’s 1978 classic “What You Won’t Do for Love."
Her post also included snaps of her rocking a bright green sleeveless slip dress with a sexy split that she accentuated with gold footwear.
Magic was so enamored with Cookie that night, that this brotha took to Instagram with some words of his own.
"My wife Cookie looks so good in her birthday attire! 😍🔥," said the businessman of his wife of 32 years.
We know that's right!
"We’ve had an amazing time celebrating her today in Turks and Caicos with live music, dancing, food, great company, and a live firework show finale," he continued.
The legend also said he spent a few coins on Cookie for her big day.
"And of course, I bought her some of her favorite purses for her birthday gifts! I always love seeing her beautiful smile, especially on her special day."
