Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to Reunite for Cleveland’s Birthday Concert
The group made headlines in April when Krayzie Bone officially left the group, but this Saturday, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will reunite for a final farewell concert. As part of the second annual Ohio Homecoming celebration, the group will perform in their hometown, Cleveland, in a show to celebrate the city’s 215th birthday. Drizzy Drake will also perform on the bill, in a concert dubbed “Bone and Drake on the Lake.” Drake told AllHipHop that he’s excited to return to the Midwestern city: “I am honored to share this moment with the City of Cleveland. I will do all I can to show my appreciation for a place that has always faithfully supported my music since day one,” he said.
“They ain’t seen us, all five, since Flesh came out [of prison in 2008],” Bizzy Bone told MTV News. “We ain’t been able to really put on a showcase for ‘em, and this is a beautiful platform. It’s gonna be thousands and thousands and thousands of people there, and it’s Cleveland’s birthday.”
Layzie Bone is hype about the show. “I love my city, it’s what shaped Bone’s character to become one of the worlds best selling hip-hop groups of all time,” he said. “Cleveland can expect us to deliver a totally live performance that will be remembered by all those that attend for the rest of our lives. And will be talked about by generations to come, flat out we rock out! Cleveland Rocks!”
