[Watch] Did Bernie Sanders Seriously Walk Out to DMX's 'Where the Hood At' For His California Rally?
Hillary Clinton was criticized several weeks ago for pandering to Black voters after she mentioned having hot sauce in her bag during an interview with the Breakfast Club , and now it seems like down — but not out — Democratic contender Bernie Sanders is looking for a little swag of his own.
A video has surfaced of Sanders walking out to DMX's classic hit "Where the Hood At?" at his rally in Ventura, California, and has some people scratching their heads in confusion.
DMX reportedly responded to Billboard regarding Sanders' use of his song saying, "When God shows up he shows out." He did not confirm whether or not he was supporting Sanders as a presidential candidate.
Check out the clip of Sanders walking out to an electrified group of supporters.
This is not the first interaction that Sanders has had with rappers, as Killer Mike,Lil B, Bun B, and Big Boi, have voiced their support for his campaign.
Perhaps this will do some good for Sanders' standing among Black voters, which would increase his chances of winning the all-important upcoming California primary. That would make the final months leading up to the Democratic National Convention very, very interesting.
