Report: NFL to Reinstate Adrian Peterson
Adrian Peterson is once again a member of the Minnesota Vikings.
USA TODAY Sports is reporting that the star running back, who was suspended by the NFL for a majority of the 2014 season during his child abuse scandal, will be reinstated on Friday.
"Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings was advised today that effective tomorrow he is reinstated as an active NFL player and may participate in all scheduled activities with the Vikings," a statement from the league to the media read Thursday. "In a letter from Commissioner Roger Goodell, Peterson was informed that he is expected to fulfill his remaining obligations to the authorities in Minnesota and Texas, as well as the additional commitments Peterson made during his April 7 meeting with the commissioner regarding maintaining an ongoing program of counseling and treatment as recommended by medical advisors."
Whether Peterson stays with the Vikings remains to be seen. In February, a report surfaced about Peterson allegedly telling Minnesota team officials that he wants to play for the Dallas Cowboys in the 2015 season.
