Even though it has been a full 24 hours since news broke that Kanye West met with President-elect Donald Trump, both his fans and his colleagues are continuing to share their two cents on the whole ordeal.

While the internet originally roasted him for such a publicity stunt, folks on Twitter began to calm down once West explained that the reasoning behind his meeting did hold a genuine, positive intention. However, longtime Ye affiliates, such as John Legend and Common, aren't totally on board.

In a new interview, John Legend shared his reaction to Trump's meeting, saying that he overall is "very disappointed" in his friend and collaborator.

“I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to [Trump] about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt," Legend said. "I think Kanye was a publicity stunt. I’m pretty disappointed with Kanye that he says he would have voted for Trump. I think Trump has been corrosive, his message has been corrosive to the country. I think the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people, and for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing."

Meanwhile, TMZ caught up with Common, who essentially says that while West is his family, it doesn't mean he agrees with his recent actions either.

"He's going to do what he chooses to do," Common said after referring to West as his brother. 

"I think a lot of the change we are looking for is going to happen from the people." Common continued. "The power is in the people. It's going to be us to really galvanize. No matter what color you are, look out for each other, start economically supporting each other and holding politicians accountable, find out what's going on with mass incarceration, changing some of these laws..."

He then further explains that he'll always have West's back, no matter what — a fact he is persistent on throughout the conversation.

"To answer your question, Kanye, that's my guy, that's my homie," Common adds. "That's always going to be my brother. Some things he does, that's what he chooses to do. I know I'm going to do things how I choose to do them. Sometimes we'll do it together, that's how love works."
