Sharp Taste: DiGiorno Pizza, Stouffer’s and Lean Cuisine Recall
If you're eating a DiGiorno pizza, Stouffer's lasagna or a Lean Cuisine meal and you find shards of glass — it's not a bold new flavor choice...it's a recall. Nestle USA, which is the parent company of DiGiorno, Stouffer's and Lean Cuisine, announced that glass has been found in their food products.
An investigation is taking place, but Nestle believes that the glass found by customers in their food items originated from spinach used to make their products.
Nestle maintains that no customers have been hurt. In order to keep it that way, Nestle is erring on the side of caution and recalling almost 3 million individual boxes of DiGiorno, Lean Cuisine and Stouffer's products.
Customers can find detailed information and product codes of would-be glass contaminated packages on Nestle USA’s website. In the meantime, lovers of DiGiorno should probably just get delivery.
