‘Answered Prayer’: Bresha Webb Has ‘Old Hollywood Glam’ Wedding
Actress Bresha Webb and television writer Nick Jones Jr. held their nuptials Saturday (Feb. 4) at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California.
According to People, the “Run The World” actress exchanged her vows with Wright in an “old Hollywood glam” themed wedding, which Webb called “an answered prayer.” The couple was engaged in summer of 2021.
"Having a successful career, I started to doubt that my dream of marriage and family was ever going to come true,” Webb said. “Now that I have a husband and now daughter, I trust God's timing in everything. Because our love couldn't have come at a more perfect time."
The newlyweds opted for an unconventional way of delivering their vows to one another. They chose to stand on opposite sides of a door and say their vows in private before meeting at the altar for their traditional marriage vows in front of family and friends.
"The choice to say our vows in private and not see each other until the ceremony added an extra layer of anticipation and excitement to the ceremony," Webb said.
As singer MAJOR performed his song “This Is Why I Love You” backed by a string quartet, Webb walked down the aisle in a Galia Lahav wedding gown.
Eventually, Webb changed into a second look by Tal Kedem.
The couple did the traditional jumping of the broom and even “paid tribute to my father, who was a singer, by having a choir sing his favorite song 'The Center of My Joy' in his memory. Our wedding ceremony was truly a beautiful and meaningful celebration of our Christian faith and Black heritage," Webb said.
The “Hollywood glam” theme paid tribute to the 1940s and 1950s, with Webb adding that the wedding had “romantic Jazz standards.”
About 140 guests attended the reception, with notable attendees including Marlon Wayans, Jamie Foxx, Loni Love and writer-producer Diallo Riddle.
Webb says she and her hubby are making their way to Hawaii to The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua.
Nick has a lot of exciting surprises planned and I just can't wait to start our life together there,” she said. “We're going to live it up!"
