50 Cent's Animal Ambition First Week Album Sales
The numbers are in.
50 Cent's fifth album, Animal Ambition, will break the G-Unit boss's record of selling more than 100,000 albums in the first week.
Animal Ambition logged 40,188 albums, according Hits Daily Double’s sales index. The sales slightly exceeded Daily Double’s predicted sales, which was in the 30,000 – 35,000 range. But despite outdoing the projected sales, the project is Fif’s lowest opening sales week ever.
When it comes to the numbers, Fifty has traditionally had commercial success. His Get Rich or Die Tryin’ had one of the most sales, debuting at 872,000 in the first week. The Massacre blew that out the park reaching more than one million sales.
His first four albums opened with six-figures sales, as all his albums reached gold status at the least.
But surely, Fif will not dwell on disappointing first-week sales. He is already preparing to release two more albums in 2014. His Street King Immortal is expected to be released in September; in addition to G-Unit’s first album since 2008, slated to drop in November.
