‘Luke Cage’ Star Mike Colter Gets The Award For Most Trash Comment About Ariana Grande Getting Groped At Aretha’s Funeral

SMDH.

Mike Colter is now apologizing for a tweet he let loose about a Bishop who inappropriately touched Ariana Grande during Aretha Franklin’s funeral.

“Now THIS is how you shoot your shot! Zero F***!’ the “Luke Cage” actor wrote on Twitter in response to a video of the incident. That footage was posted by The Daily Show host Trevor Noah and has since been deleted. The tweet also included a bunch of laughing emojis. Noah’s original comment was, “What was up with that pastors hand?”

Today (September 2), Colter apologized for the tweet, claiming it was “complete and biting sarcasm.” But since that wasn’t funny either he also wrote, “Hello all. I apologize about my tweet earlier,” he wrote. “In no way do I condone any such behavior. It was intended to point out the absurdity of the act itself. Complete and biting sarcasm. I realized quickly that it was not taken as such.”

As to why it took him a while to apologize, Colter claimed he “was at an event all day,” and offered an apology for that, “Sorry for the delay.”

Bishop Charles H. Ellis III also apologized for touching Ariana Grande in the manner he did. “It would never be my intention to touch any woman’s breast. … I don’t know I guess I put my arm around her,” he said during an interview with the Associated Press on Friday. “Maybe I crossed the border, maybe I was too friendly or familiar but again, I apologize.”
