Sometimes the internet is just too internet for its own good. 

This became apparent after The Shade Room posted a video of a woman slamming a child's face into a cake, and what should have been a hilarious moment turned the corner and quickly became a "WTF?" 

When the child's face is pushed into the cake, it does not disappear into a mound of delicious frosting. Instead, the child's face springs back, like the cake is made of rubber. The woman pushes the child into the cake several more times until the video cuts out. 

The video had people in the comments doing everything from laughing hysterically at the child's misfortune to getting ready to call Child Protective Services. 

However, the biggest question in the comments section was what in the world is going on with that cake? Some people speculated it was a display cake that was accidentally sold, while others thought it may have been frozen and needed to thaw out. 

Either way, the cake and the whole video needs to be thrown out.
