Kimora Lee Simmons Celebrates 'Amazing' Son Gary's 14th Birthday
On Monday, Kimora Lee Simmons shared a sweet tribute to her son Gary on Instagram on his 14th Birthday.
The Baby Phat founder adopted Gary when he was ten years old. She is mom to Aoki, 20, and Ming, 23, whom she has with ex-partner Russell Simmons, her son Kenzo, 14, with ex-partner Djimon Hounsou, and son Wolfe, 8, with Tim Leissner. The decision to adopt Gary came after her two oldest started their college careers, with Ming Lee becoming a sophomore at NYU while Aoki Lee was a freshman at Harvard.
Simmons can be seen in a carousel of photos affectionately smiling with her son. There are also glimpses of his football-themed birthday party, complete with cupcakes inspired by the sport and two cakes designed like a football field.
Simmons captioned the post, "Gary Lee!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my football star, handsome, fly young man! You're an amazing brother, friend and incredible son and we're so lucky to have you in our lives!" The mommy mogul's post was met with a flood of love from her followers, who wished Gary a happy birthday and praised Simmons for being such a great mom. She continued, "I'm so proud of you! We all love you soooo much! ❤️😎🎉🏈🎂🎁."
This tight-knit gang recently visited Japan in August for the perfect family vacation.
Simmons made it clear to her children from the start that they were in Japan to experience the culture. "It was rewarding to expose all my kids to Japan," the entrepreneur told PEOPLE exclusively at the time.
The St. Louis native said, "I've traveled there so many times throughout my life for work or modeling. Japan is vibrant, electric and such a vibe shift! Watching them absorb their surroundings — the art, the food, the language, the fashion — was beyond rewarding." She added, "We're so blessed. They're already asking when we can go back!"
