Jessie J and Jhené Aiko Have a Sweet Treat for Fans
Jessie J got out of surgery one month ago and she's already booked a huge gig alongside Jhené Aiko and Rixton. According to Billboard, the three acts are set to feature in the "Sorry to Interrupt" free concert sponsored by Pop Tarts this summer.
This won't be the first time that they all worked together. Back in May, Aiko and the U.K. representers (Rixton is an Manchester-based pop rock and R&B band) hooked up with DJ Mustard to record the title song for the event. To date it's received more than 40,000 streams on SoundCloud and 100,000 hits on YouTube.
The "Pressure" singer seems stoked about the joint venture, telling Billboard, "They were all so fun to work with and had lots of positive energy. I think I added a bit of my style to this song. I'm usually laid back and that is reflected in the music I make. Both Jessie and Rixton are high energy, so I think I balanced it out by adding some chill."
Jessie J, Aiko and Rixton will hit the stage for the Pop Tarts' Crazy Good Summer program next Friday (July 24) at San Francisco's Nob Hill Masonic center.
