DeSean Jackson's Home Invaded, Cops Suspect Gang Involvement
DeSean Jackson's Los Angeles home was the target of a violent home invasion this week and police suspect gang activity.
According to TMZ Sports, the home invasion of the Washington wide receiver's Tarzana, Calif., house took place Wednesday morning. Four to five people reportedly stormed in with guns, pistol-whipping one person inside the residence. The celebrity news site is reporting that Jackson was not at home at the time, but the six people inside the house were able to fend off the intruders, who fled before the police arrived.
A law enforcement source told TMZ that the incident was believed to be gang related, but a source close to the situation added that Jackson wasn't the invaders' target.
Shortly after Jackson was cut by the Philadelphia Eagles last year, a report surfaced that the move was made because of his alleged gang ties — something that the wideout denied.
Jackson hasn't played this season, as he's still nursing a hamstring injury.
