Naomi Campbell Opens a Store in London

For one week only, the catwalk queen’s charity will sell designer pieces for a cause.

We’re sure Naomi Campbell is used to being waited on hand and foot when she goes shopping, but right now she’s got on her philanthropic hat and is ready to do the selling. The supermodel is currently busy in London running a pop-up store in Westfield Shopping Centre that will raise money in the name of her Fashion for Relief charity.

The shop will only be open until April 13, but for one week buyers can purchase a glamorous selection of gowns from Naomi’s collection—including a Vivienne Westwood Gold Label worn by the supermodel herself—as well as other iconic designer pieces donated by her designer and celebrity friends. Christopher Kane, Tom Ford, Victoria Beckham and Burberry are just a few of the labels that pack the shelves.

The proceeds from this effort will benefit the Prince’s Trust, a U.K. charity that aims to help young people, but the Fashion for Relief organization has helped raise funds for numerous causes over the years. During New York Fashion Week in February 2010, Campbell raised funds for the victims of the Haiti earthquake through a star-studded runway show and charity auction. The model hopes to put on a similar catwalk fete in order to aid victims of the Japan tsunami.
