Former KCAL News Anchor Files $5 Million Lawsuit For 'Anti-White' Discrimination

“He was fired because he is an older, white, heterosexual, male,” the lawsuit stated.

Former KCAL and KCBS anchor Jeff Vaughn filed a $5,000,000 lawsuit stating that he was fired because he’s a white man.

“This lawsuit is about Defendants’ discrimination against Mr. Vaughn based on his race, sex, age, and sexual orientation,” the lawsuit stated. “He was removed from his job as a highly successful news anchor because he was not a member of the Defendants’ preferred groups.”

“He was fired because he is an older, white, heterosexual, male,” the court document read. “He was not included in the 9/11 special. His African American colleague hosted the show, and reporters from minority groups hosted all the featured stories. Not one of them had personally been present at ground zero reporting during the events of 9/11.”

Vaughn is being represented by America First Legal, a conservative legal group that has aimed at diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, citing illegal “anti-white discrimination.”

The lawsuit added that Vaughn was never given a reason for his firing. He worked at the CBS-owned station group for eight years until his departure in September 2023.
