Patti Labelle Says She’s Open To Dating—And She Already Has ‘A Nice Person’ In Mind!

On Tuesday (Feb. 7), host Jennifer Hudson asked if LaBelle if she any plans to start dating again. The 78-year-old singer responded “well sorta, kinda."
The superstar went on to reveal her previous marriage to Armstead Edwards, which ended in 2003, was wonderful and she’d love to find that kind of happiness again.
"I was married for 32 years to a wonderful man and we're still friends, good friends," she explained. "So I think in life I need to find happiness for myself, other than what I had back in the day with him, which was wonderful.”
She added, “I'm too good to be solo."
Although Ms. Patti is ready to date, don’t expect to see her on any date apps. When Hudson inquired if she uses dating apps, she revealed she already has someone special in mind.
"I do have a nice person in mind," she told the TV host. "I really do."
At this time, LaBelle has yet to reveal the name of her special someone. "That's my personal business," she noted.
