Usher Teases New Single ‘Good Good’ Featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage
After a successful sizzling summer performing on the Vegas Strip, Usher is gearing up to release a brand-new single.
On Monday (August 1), the Grammy Award-winning singer announced on social media that his new song “Good Good” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage would drop August 4.
Usher captioned the post, “It be like that sometimes 🤷🏾♂️.”
The post featured a group chat between him, Walker and 21 Savage as small icons of their face are at the top of the thread with the words “Good Good” underneath.
In the chat, music begins to play as three dots appear at the bottom right-hand corner. Seconds later, the dots are replaced with an icon of Usher’s face, and as he sings the lyrics of the song, they appear as messages to the group.
“We ain’t good good, but we still good / We ain’t good good, but we still good / I hate that we didn’t make it to forever / Probably ain’t getting back together / But that don’t mean that I can’t wish you better / We ain’t good good, but we still good / I realize that I can’t be your lover / Let’s just keep it honest with each other / I’ll be happy for you when you find another”, he sang.
Of his last line in the text chat, he sang “We ain’t good good, but we still good” then added his reaction to the message with an exclamation point.
The R&B crooner recently wrapped up his My Way Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at MGM Park, which had to be extended twice due to high demand.
During that final show, he recognized his friend and mentor L.A. Reid who signed him when he was 14. His girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea, was also in the audience that night. When he spotted her, he uttered, "My GOAT... my love, Jenn."
