In part one of the doc, which debuted via World Star Hip Hop Wednesday (April 29), viewers see everything from throwback Boosie footage to the cult-like following that arose after his incarceration. He also speaks openly about facing a murder charge and staying strong behind bars for the sake of his family.
One scene shows an emotional reunion between the rapper and family just after being released from Angola Prison in his home state of Louisiana.
Boosie spent five years at Angola for drugs, weapons and a murder charge in the 2009 death of Terry Boyd. He was acquitted of the murder in 2012 and freed last March.
