Trick Trick Denies Banning Rick Ross From Detroit
Trick Trick doesn't have much to say specifically about Rick Ross allegedly getting banned from performing in Detroit last weekend, but he does want the public to mind its "motherf---in'" business.
Reportedly, Trick's "No Fly Zone" featuring Royce da 5'9" and Cali's K Young was part of the reason why Ross didn't end up taking the stage at Hot 107.5's Summer Jamz 17 concert last weekend. The Detroit rapper subliminally addressed the rumor in a video on World Star Hip Hop that turned into an 11-minute rant that never addresses Ross directly.
"I don't usually even entertain s--t that go on on the Internet because the Internet to me is not the real world," he starts. "But I do recognize it's a lot of things going on on the Internet and in the media concerning myself and concerning another individual. Well concerning myself and that individual, it's not your motherf---in' business. That's grown man, I'm a grown man. Grown men don't put grown man business out to the motherf---in' public. If I wanted to address it, I would have addressed it. If I wanted to promote it, I would have promoted it."
He goes on to state that he doesn't want Rozay's "motherf---in' money" and commences to lash out at what he called a "mini-documentary" (it was actually just a short video from the concert) where Hot 107.5's program director Jay Hicks informs the Summer Jamz crowd that the Bawse wouldn't be taking the stage out of "fear" for his life.
Trick said the announcement was another example of the media's thirst for negativity. "Y'all all got the game f---ed up," he concludes. "That's what's wrong with this motherf---a now, ain't nobody talking 'bout no business!"
He adds, "I put out a mixtape three weeks ago, ain't nobody called me about that s--t!"
The rest of the recording goes in a similar fashion. Trick is visibly agitated at the very idea of having to even speak about the MMG leader.
Like Trick, Ross didn't provide any real clarity on the situation either. He denied the confrontation, maintaining that the venue gate was padlocked and so he left, unaware of any fear-provoking mob. He used a jungle metaphor as proof. "In the jungle you don't lock the lions out, you let the lions in! That's when you get the confrontation that you want, if that's what you're looking for," he told Florida's 99 Jamz.
