Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant still hasn’t made up his mind about playing overseas during the NBA lockout, but apparently he has made a decision about the 2012 Olympic Games.

Bryant wants in, sources told NBA.com.

He apparently has told people he wants a shot at winning a second gold medal after leading Team USA to the Olympic championship in 2008.

But there are obviously some problems with that at this point. It’s conceivable that the NBA lockout could still be in effect next summer, which could put a damper on the all-NBA roster. Bryant, 34, wants in for sure, and apparently so does Oklahoma Thunder star Kevin Durant. But players like Miami Heat’s Big Three of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh may not want to play if the labor dispute isn’t resolved.

USA Basketball head Jerry Colangelo, however, believes he can still fill out the 15-man roster with players from the 2008 gold team and the 2010 world championship team.

"I would hope people would take care of their business," Colangelo said to NBA.com. "I know all of the issues from both sides, the pros and cons. I have to look at it from a different perspective as chairman of USA Basketball. We're moving ahead. We're fielding a team. The only question is who's going to be on it. We have to submit a roster to FIBA by next June.... we're going to have a great response to participation in 2012 from our players. We have the depth of players, looking at the Olympic roster and the world championship roster, to field a team."
