The 2017 Rolling Loud Music Festival united some of hip-hop’s freshest faces and breakout rap stars for the young millennial crowd it attracts, including Bronx’s A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and social media’s favorite peacemaker Lil B The BasedGod.

But according to Lil B, there was everything but unity after announcing to fans that the “My S**t” emcee and his crew violently jumped him just moments before he took the stage.

“Aye, I want to tell y’all something that just happened to me, man, it was real scandalous, man,” he announced to fans during his set. “A Boogie and his whole crew just jumped me in the back, man.”

In addition to the crowd’s explosive reaction, Lil B fans took to Twitter to condemn A Boogie for the outrageous behavior and call for the full protection of the California emcee. They were joined by G.O.O.D. Music’s trippy rap star Travis Scott, as well, who gave a “protect Lil B at all f**king costs” declaration. TDE’s Schoolboy Q, Big Sean, Kaytranada, G-Eazy, Lumidee and even Drake showed support of the “I Own Swag” emcee following the incident as well.

With footage of the incident circulating social media, where it appears that at least 10 men violently punched, kicked and stomped Lil B out as he tussled across the concrete, payback for the brutal outburst would seem to be in order. However, The BasedGod chose the high road and, instead of vengeance, he tweeted out forgiveness to A Boogie and his clique.

“A boogie with a hoodie and his crew jumped me don’t [know] how many of [them] it was but it’s all good I love y’all and I forgive y’all LOVE - Lil B,” he tweeted Saturday night. “Use me as an example I was violently jumped by a boogie Hella his people I was 1 deep no security its good I forgive them love y’all - Lil B.”

He continued on explaining that his heart did not seek out revenge and, instead, has love for those who attacked him. He even posted a picture that appears to be taken after the incident of himself smiling humbly in honor of the truce — bloody, scarred nose and all. Despite being the culprit behind it all, A Boogie seemed to have a change of heart, too.

“S.o the west coast for the communication,” he said. “Not too many people got it in them to forgive that easy, as a man I gotta respect that.”

Now this is the type of hip-hop unity we like to see.
