The Roots are holding their first annual Pre-Emmy Jam tonight, September 17, in Los Angeles.
The Jam is a spin-off of the group's popular annual Grammys Jam Session, which they've thrown every year since 2003 to celebrate the music industry's biggest night. Much like that event, the Pre-Emmys Jam is expected to feature a number of celebrities and renowned musicians collaborating with The Roots.
The event will take on special meaning for the Philadelphia-based crew, as they're the acclaimed house band for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, which received its first-ever Emmy nominations this year, for best variety, music or comedy series and best writing.
The 1st annual Pre-Emmy Jam featuring The Roots goes down at the House of Blues in West Hollywood tonight.
