Lil Boosie to Be Released From Jail in February
Lil Boosie is less than a month away from freedom.
According to Miss Info, Boosie will walk free from the Louisiana State Penitentiary on Feb. 13.
The date is a bump from last month's reports announcing an August release. His brother and manager, Taquari Hatch, later clarified that Boosie would be out by Feb. 16, pending the completion of two prison courses.
Rapper Torrence "Lil Boosie" Hatch, 31, landed in jail following a 2008 marijuana bust. He was first nabbed on a parole violation, and later slapped with a first-degree murder charge, of which he was acquitted in 2012.
He has remained behind bars for an eight-year sentence for drug charges.
While incarcerated, Boosie obtained his G.E.D. and has been writing up a storm. According to a Spin.com report from last year, the Louisiana native has penned roughly "500 songs" over the last several years.
Chances are pretty good that he'll be heading back into the studio once he's free.
