Melanie Fiona Heats Up at "4 AM"

Soul star Melanie Fiona stops by to discuss her new song, "4 AM."

Give it to her right or don’t give it to her at all...unless it’s at 4 AM. Soulstress Melanie Fiona will grace the 106 & Park stage today, Thursday, October 13 to discuss her new single “4 AM” with Terrence and Rocsi.
Raised in Toronto by West Indian parents, Melanie Fiona Hallim grew up surrounded by a soulful blend of R&B, reggae, soca and calypso. She broke into the American music scene with her Grammy-nominated 2009 single “It Kills Me” from her debut album The Bridge. Crediting Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley and Sade as influences, Fiona is also a songwriter who has worked with Rihanna, John Legend and The Roots.
Currently Melanie is promoting her new album The MF Life. The album showcases a stunning mix of vibrant new sounds from a host of A-list R&B producers and songwriters, each partaking of the originality that has made Fiona a sought-after collaborator by everyone from Cee-Lo Green to U.K. rapper Tinchy Stryder. “The MF Life is definitely less retro-sounding than my first album,” Melanie says on her official site.
Tune into 106 & Park today, Thursday, October 13 at 6P/5C as Melanie Fiona talks about her new single “4 AM” and album, The MF Life.
