The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations were announced on July 12, 2023, by Yvette Nicole Brown and Television Academy Chairman Frank Scherma.

It's good to see our faves getting their roses on the heels of a writers' strike. Dominique Fishback received a nomination for "Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series" for "Swarm," and Quinta Brunson was nominated for "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series" for "Abbott Elementary" and "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series" for "Saturday Night Live."

Sheryl Lee Ralph and Janelle James also received "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series" nominations for "Abbott Elementary." While Taraji P. Henson scored a nomination in the "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series" category for her guest spot on "Abbott Elementary."

Storm Reid picked up an "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series" nomination for "The Last of Us." 

In the "Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program" category, Nicole Beyer received a nomination for "Nailed It," and Karamo Brown received a nomination as a co-host for "Queer Eye."

Both Keke Palmer and Steve Harvey's game show hosting skills resulted in "Outstanding Host for a Game Show" nominations. Palmer was nominated for "Password" and Harvey was nominated for "Family Feud."

Rihanna's much-talked-about Super Bowl LVII halftime show performance earned her a nomination for "Outstanding Variety Special (Live)." Chris Rock also received a nod in that same category for his
"Chris Rock: Selective Outrage" special.

Lizzo earned a nomination for "Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-recorded)" for her "Lizzo: Live in Concert" special. She was joined by Trevor Noah and Wanda Sykes who were nominated in the category for "Trevor Noah: I Wish You Would" and "Wanda Sykes: I’m an Entertainer."

Former First Lady Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey also had much to celebrate. The duo were nominated for "Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special" for "The Light We Carry: Michelle Obama & Oprah Winfrey."

The ceremony will be held on September 18, 2023, and broadcast live on FOX.
