West Coast battle rapper gunned down in Los Angeles, manager confirms.

West Coast battle rapper Young B The Future died after being gunned down Monday (Dec. 8), BattleRap.com reports.

The Moreno Valley, Calif., native was shot five times by an unidentified assailant or assailants, at his girlfriend's house, his manager, Hollywood Stilt, confirmed. The rapper was leaving his vehicle at the time. He was later transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

“We lost a solid voice of West Coast battle rap today,” Stilt said.

Earlier this year B won AHAT’s Rookie of the Year and Battler of the Year awards. He clocked another victory at Snoop Dogg’s “Gladiator School” battle in September. Uncle Snoop posted a photo of B reading "Rest in Paradise" on Instagram earlier today.

A funeral is scheduled for Dec. 19, with the location to be announced soon, according to a message posted on the slain rhymer's Twitter page this afternoon.
