Kendrick Lamar helped a group of Cleveland State University students convey a potent message during a demonstration against police brutality over the weekend.  The group broke into the Lamar's "Alright" showing solidarity amid a reported clash with police.  

As a Black Lives Matter conference was being held at the school, police were accusing a 14-year-old boy of being intoxicated on a bus accross the street. The teen was detained, but witnesses say cops were rough, slamming him to the ground.

Crowd members demanded his release, and officers used pepper spray making things more contentious, reports Ohio’s News Net 5. The boy was later treated by EMS, and released in the custody of his parents, while the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority released a statement reading in part, “Officers on routine patrol peacefully removed a intoxicated 14-year old male from a bus. Police said the juvenile was intoxicated to the point where he was unable to care for himself."

The Cleveland college protest came days after the death of 43-year-old Sam Dubose, who was shot by a University of Cincinnati Police Officer, moments after he was pulled over. A grand jury indicted the Ohio cop on murder earlier today.
