Lupita Nyong'o has landed herself another magazine cover and this time she's one of five gorgeous, young Hollywood starlets gracing the same issue in separate covers. For Marie Claire's May "Fresh Faces" issue, the Oscar-winning actress sports a bright pink Christopher Kane strapless gown and talks about the sudden whirl of being fashion's latest It Girl.
"Being called gorgeous is not a bad thing!" Nyong'o said. "But at the same time, I don't want to thrive on people's opinions of me."
Nyong'o admitted that she wasn't always into fashion and we love that she's quick to give credit where it's due — on her superstar stylist who's been knocking it out of the park with every look Nyong'o steps out in.
"I wasn't a follower of fashion," the 31-year-old said. "It was a world unknown. Then I met my stylist, Micaela Erlanger [who was introduced to Nyong'o by her friend and Non-Stop co-star Michelle Dockery], and we came to interpret my style: clean lines, strong color. I don't dress to impress; I don't feel that pressure."
Actresses Elizabeth Olsen, Elle Fanning, Emilia Clarke and Kate Mara are also featured on their own Marie Claire covers for the same issue. The group celebrated the issue at Marie Claire's "Fresh Faces" party on Tuesday where Nyong'o wore a Giambattista Valli Couture floral-print gown.
