Kehlani Files Restraining Order Against Ex, Accuses Him of Abuse Amid Child Custody Battle

The R&B singer’s ex, Javaughn Young-White, recently filed for full custody of their 5-year-old daughter.

Last week, Kehlani’s ex, Javaughn Young-White, filed for full custody of their 5-year-old daughter, Adeya Nomi. However, new court documents have surfaced along with alleged evidence where both parties have reportedly accused each other of abuse.

On Tuesday (Aug. 13), the “After Hours” singer filed a restraining order against Young-White, TMZ reported.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Kehlani confessed that Young-White was abusive for years. Still, they chose to file the restraining order in mid-June after he allegedly became “enraged” and “smashed through [their] locked bedroom doors [in] a fit of anger.”

The document continued, “If he has our daughter in his care, she is returned filthy and reeking of marijuana… He is not emotionally well and appears to suffer from periods of despair and often tirades of uncontrollable anger and rage. When he is agitated, he cannot stop moving and throws his arms in the air while yelling and screaming at me, often throwing items and calling me horrible names.”

After the reports came out, Kehlani later took to her Instagram Story and said, “I did not make a statement nor did I tell TMZ about my business.”

Young-White later took to his Instagram Stories and accused the Oakland native of framing her abuse as his. He also shared alleged text messages where he expressed how he begged her to leave him alone.

Kehlani and Young-White dated from 2018 to 2019, and she currently maintains full physical and legal custody of Adeya.
