Former Major League Baseball outfielder and MLB Network analyst Darryl Hamilton was found dead as a part of a murder-suicide on Sunday afternoon in Houston, the Houston Chronicle is reporting.

According to the Chronicle, Pearland police found the dead bodies of Hamilton, 50, and Monica Jordan, 44, at a Houston apartment with the couple's 14-month-old infant unharmed at the scene. The child was taken into child protective services.

Hamilton's body reportedly had multiple gunshot wounds, while investigators discovered Jordan's body in a different area of the home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

"At this point it does not appear that there was any kind of struggle. The incident occurred just inside the front door," police Lieutenant Onesimo Lopez told the Chronicle.

Hamilton played 13 years (1988-2001) for teams such as the Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers, San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies and New York Mets, including being a part of the 2000 Mets team that faced the New York Yankees in the World Series. Following his playing career, Hamilton worked in various departments for the MLB, before eventually settling in as an on-air analyst for the MLB Network in 2013.

Hamilton hit a career .291 with 1,333 hits, 707 runs scored and 454 RBI in his career.
