Supreme And Louis Vuitton Send The Internet Into A Frenzy After Announcing Collaboration

See the new luxe streetwear collection you'll prob never have.

Rumors of a Louis Vuitton x Supreme collaboration have been floating around for a while. Supreme founder James Jebbia was spotted at the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer show, LV menswear designer Kim Jones frequently rocks streetwear and once even had a job unpacking boxes of imported Supreme clothing, and a couple weeks ago, a blurry picture of a Louis Vuitton design featuring the Supreme logo popped up online. And then, as GQ reports, A$AP Bari got in on the action, posting a photo to his Instagram story that showed a Supreme x Louis Vuitton bandana.

But as of today, the truth is out there, and it’s official. The Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter ’17 menswear show featured a real, tangible, cosigned Supreme collab. And people are freaking out accordingly. Hark, the herald hypebeasts sing!

And Supreme just unveiled a bomber and sneakers that weren’t in the show on Instagram.

We can’t even imagine how long the lines are gonna be for this one. The collection will be sold at LV stores and there will likely be pop-ups as well, which are sure to be a mob scene. Of course, an official Louis Vuitton cosign means official Louis Vuitton prices, so we imagine that a lot of kids are going to sell their skateboard decks in order to afford this stuff.

Jones told Vogue that this collab has been in the works for over a year. The magazine paid a visit to his studio, which is covered in Louis Vuitton x Supreme merch—sneakers, backpacks, bags, fannypacks, cardholders, wallets, baseball shirts, pants, jackets. It’s unclear what exactly will roll out to the public, but it’s certain that absolutely all of it will sell out.

The LV collection overall pays tribute to New York, with several pieces inspired by the style of iconic NYC artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. And as Jones said in a press release, “No New York city conversation is complete without Supreme.”
