Smallville Actor Sam Jones III Sentenced to One Year in Prison \r
Actor Sam Jones III, who starred on the hit superpower TV show Smallville for eight years, was in deep trouble but got off easy, according to TMZ. The 28-year-old Boston native was arrested two years ago on conspiracy charges for dealing over 10,000 pills of oxycodone in 2008. 10,000 pills?
While his character played the good guy, feds said Jones was the Hollywood connection to a drug ring that should have cost him five years in prison. Instead, he has gotten 366 days after pleading guilty to the hefty charges. According to TMZ, the judge showed mercy, probably after the actor pleaded for it, reportedly stating he’d lost everything, including his dog, as a result of the scandal.
Once the courts decide where the actor will spend the next year of his life, Jones is expected to turn himself in to authorities.
