Usher's Son Released From Hospital

The five-year-old spotted laughing, playing in Atlanta following pool accident.

Usher's son Usher Raymond V has been released from the hospital and is back to getting his summer vacation on, TMZ reports. The five-year-old, who spent nearly a week in the ICU following a near-death pool accident at his home in Atlanta, looked healthy and active during a visit to a local bounce park with his grandmother. The only sign of his accident was a large white bandage wrapped around his right arm.
Paramedics were called to Usher's mansion last Tuesday after his son got his hand stuck in a pool drain while trying to retrieve a toy. He was given CPR by Eugene Stachurski, who was installing pro recording equipment in Usher's basement. Shortly after, he was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where doctors shortly confirmed that he would be fine. Stachurski told TMZ, "I thank God I was there to do something."
The R&B star's ex-wife Tameka Foster, who has been battling to regain primary custody of the former couple's two sons for several years, immediately requested an emergency hearing with a judge to assert that the accident resulted from parental negligence and that she should be awarded full custody of the boys.
A judge quickly shut Foster's case down and Usher continues to retain full custody of his sons. The tense hearing was softened slightly when the exes shared a seemingly genuine hug after the judge handed down his decision. It has likely been an especially trying week for Foster, who's 11-year-old son from a previous marriage, Kyle Glover, died last year following a jet ski accident.
Thankfully, both Usher Raymond V and his little brother Naviyd are healthy, thriving and back to being kids.
