Kanye West's Yeezy 750 Boost Sneakers Restock After Selling Out
Kanye West is proving that he is a marketing genius with his latest fashion venture. Yeezy's newly released $350 kicks were in such high demand that they have already sold out.
According to CNN Money, the rapper's new Yeezy 750 Boost for Adidas, which were released during New York Fashion Week, began selling at a significantly high markup online: "On eBay, the Yeezy Boost was selling in excess of $1,000 a pair," the report stated.
The sneaker release was made into an event as 'Ye's fans and sneaker heads alike all reserved pairs of Yeezys ahead of time using a smartphone app. Some of the customers even traveled to their respective footwear stores where they were surprised to find West personally hand-delivering their kicks.
Fortunately, those who missed out on the opportunity to snag a pair — and didn't have a grand to spare — can now get them for a lesser, but still pricy, amount. Kicks on Fire recently announced that the sneakers will restock this Saturday (Feb. 28) and will be made available through "Adidas Consortium accounts worldwide, as well as Adidas Originals flaghips in Berlin, Seoul, London and Shanghai."
